Delaware State Police say two people were shot and injured in Dover following an argument over a bicycle.
The investigation began shortly after 5 p.m. Monday, when troopers were called to respond to a reported shooting in the Autumn Run Apartments located on Webbs Lane in Dover. Upon their arrival, the troopers came into contact with a 27-year-old male victim in the parking lot of the complex. The victim was suffering from a gunshot wound to his foot. The troopers also made contact with a 26-year-old female victim who was suffering from a graze wound to her knee. The male victim was transported to the Kent General Hospital where he was treated for his injury. The female victim refused treatment, according to police.
According to police, an investigation revealed that the two victims had been arguing with a male suspect who then produced a handgun and shot them. The suspect then fled the area in an unknown type of vehicle. Troopers also learned that the argument stemmed from the theft of the male victim's bicycle that had occurred on an earlier date.
The suspect is described as a black male, between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-11, with a thin build and braided hair. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, blue jeans and dark sneakers.
