Checkpoint nets 13 DUI arrests

Thirteen people were arrested and charged with DUIs last weekend at checkpoints set up as part of the Checkpoint Strikeforce campaign. The New Castle County DUI Task Force and Millsboro Police Department also apprehended 18 wanted individuals, made 8 drug arrests, 5 arrests for felony violations, 10 seat belt citations issued, 2 child restraint citations issued, 1 stolen vehicle recovered, 1 weapon seized, 2 arrested for underage drinking, and 55 citations issued for various other traffic violations. A total of 173 DUI arrests have been made as of July 1 as part of the campaign. The following check points and patrols are scheduled for this weekend. [More]
